Our Story

In 1998, newly elected Calgary Southeast MP Jason Kenney got together a group of young Conservatives at the University of Calgary to form the Reform Party Club on campus.

Since then, the club has undergone changes in name and form, but can count among its alumni Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, as well as many other members of Alberta’s Provincial Cabinet and the Federal Conservative Caucus, alongside business leaders, senior political staffers and journalists.

Not too long after its founding at the University of Calgary, a campus Conservative club was started at Mount Royal University.

In 2025, the University of Calgary Club and the Mount Royal University Club merged to form the Campus Conservative Association of Calgary, representing hundreds of Conservative students across the city.
