In 1998, newly elected Calgary Southeast MP Jason Kenney got together a group of young Conservatives at the University of Calgary to form the Reform Party Club on Campus.
Since then, the club has undergone changes in name and form, but can count among its alumni Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, members of Alberta’s Provincial Cabinet and the Federal Conservative Caucus, alongside business leaders, senior political staffers and journalists.
In 2025, the Conservative Clubs at the University of Calgary Campus and Mount Royal University merged to form the Campus Conservative Association of Calgary (CCAC), an independent Alberta Society representing hundreds of Conservative students across the city.
